We then head south of the spa, right on the edge of the San Matías Gulf, to discover one of northern Patagonia's most innovative ventures: "The southernmost olive grove in the world." This pioneering cultivation has transformed olive production and agricultural practices in the coastal desert of Rio Negro. At Olivares Patagónicos, we will tour the production plant, savor various olive oils, and learn about other innovative products available for purchase, such as flavored cheeses, olive soap, and olives.
Our journey continues north to the Las Grutas waterfront, nestled by the waters of San Antonio Oeste Bay. Here, we will explore the fishing pier and soak in the ambiance of the historic railway district.
Next, we travel 70 km to Puerto San Antonio Este to visit Playa de las Conchillas, an expansive 18 km virgin beach adorned with purple clams that gradually lose their color under the sun, creating a whitish and shimmering paradise known to many as the "Caribbean of Patagonia."
